Acquire Deal Flow: 5 Content Sites, 4 Aged Domains
In this week’s picks we have 2 On-Market Sites on Flippa, 1 Pre-Market Site, 2 Off-Market Sites & 4 Aged Domains
Hey there 👋,
I’ve now combined the previous content site picks on Flippa and aged domain newsletters into one, and also included the ability for people to feature their content sites and domains pre-market.
If you haven’t already, you can subscribe below:
As someone who has worked inside Flippa, I do recommend you list your websites there, especially if you’re a first-time seller. You will benefit from the huge buyer base, the Flippa Deal Room, and integrated escrow. In fact, one of my six-figure listings I originally put up on Flippa as a broker sold within 4 weeks and closed within 6 weeks. (I’m now no longer a broker, just an affiliate).
However, for those who choose to feature here pre-market (or straight up off-market), I’ll happily showcase your site in this newsletter for free if it meets my criteria and has upside available. I don’t charge anything by featuring these deals.
⛏️ This Week’s Picks
Please view this as initial screening - I am not recommending you should acquire these assets. Do you own due diligence and/or buy DD on Flippa or Centurica.
For my criteria and terminology see this post.
If you want further assistance with your acquisition, you can book a micro-consulting call with me on Clarity, details at Acquire.gg.
🥞 Flippa Auction Listings
There was only one new classified listing that I track on Flippa and it was a confidential listing, so am picking a couple of auction listings this week.
As a Flippa affiliate, I earn a % of what Flippa earns from listings sold.
animetroop.com - $8K asking/reserve price
“A 2-year-old Anime and Manga website, A brandable Domain name, Google News New edition & discover, Backlinks from Wikipedia and other prominent sites.”
Top keyword “mai jjk” gets 2.9K searches a month according to Semrush, which the top page ranks #3 for in Google. The KW only brings in < 5% of search traffic and the top page < 10% so no dependency here. Putting the top page into Copyscape showed some entries, but it appears to be the site owner syndicating their new posts to Reddit.
Semrush gives a strong domain authority score of 47, but the number of referring domains has fallen from around 5500 to 3500 since July 2022 so you will want to look into that. Majority of anchor text is the URL (brand).
Upside Wins
With over 1000 pages in Google index, a content audit to remove pages could generate upside
Improve website design & EAT (about page only has ~50 words)
Look for ways to add affiliate revenue (product links, exit pops etc) as only monetization is ads (Ezoic)
FitnessTipBlog.com - $4,050 asking price ($1 reserve)
“Beginner Friendly 3-years-old Health & Fitness website with US traffic, Making $220/mo | Huge Potentials & Opportunities with Affiliates | NO RESERVE”
Top keyword of 9.9K/m volume is bringing in < 6% of search traffic, but it’s at the bottom of p1 in Google so some dependency here. The Top page brings in < 14% of search traffic, but the copy reads poorly and there are 10 results showing in Copyscape you’ll want to look into. Semrush puts this at 43 authority score, backlink chart and anchors look normal, but you’ll have to delve into the individual links.
Upside Wins
Improve bad website design & EAT (could not find an about page)
Seller states site is only making money from Adsense, so look to add affiliate links in informational articles
Clean up google index (over 450 pages) by removing additional sitemaps that shouldn’t be there
🎀 Pre-Market Site by BowTiedWookie
4 year old website in health niche stated to be making $2,300/m in revenue L3M being sold by BowTiedWookie (a great Substack).
Seller says:
Revenue currently 38% affiliate, 24% direct ads partnership, 22% Amazon Associates, 13% digital product, 3% KDP.
Site was created in 2018, aged domain added in summer 2021, we bought it in October 2021 from private Twitter sale.
Went from 68 -> 228 published posts
The site has gotten a boost in the last 5 consecutive core algo updates but there is always risk when you rely on one traffic source
15 posts currently ordered from writers (free with the purchase of site)
3 HARO links currently ordered from the Agency (free with the purchase of site)
Mediavine launched in mid-October (site was ad-free before this)
Had almost 3K subs but recently cut the list to ~750 - our emails are not great, huge opportunity for someone who understands email
There are a lot of small DTC companies in this niche. We started renting our Facebook pixel out to one of them this month as a test. If we held onto the site we’d hire a VA to DM every single DTC company in the space and try to rent the pixel to them
📴 Off-Market Sites from Domain Magnate
Michael Bereslavsky from Domain Magnate is looking to reduce its portfolio to continue to focus on growing bigger existing websites. These deals were within their recent newsletter, copying & pasting here:
Seller says:
All sales are done via escrow.com or wire transfer and include a sales agreement, transfer assistance, and after-sale support.
sibosurvivor.com price: $102K $82,793. at 34.5x the average monthly revenue of $2400, solid content website, with several years of stable history and minimum maintenance.
theabsolutedater.com price: $209K $170,173 at only 28.5xthe average monthly revenue of $5,971, a growing affiliate content dating website.
👴🏽 Aged Domains

Domains from Sean Markey
Domains from Sean Markey from RankTheory.com has 3 aged domains for sale:
Pendulum.org - DR 70
RatePoint.com - DR 64
FlattenTheCurve.com - DR 59
Seller says:
DR x $100 is the price, or I'll take $15K for all 3 -- priority is first come first served, unless someone offers to take all 3, then that's my priority.

Odys History of this Domain:
Former domain of a financial blog that focuses on getting rich slowly with dividend stocks.
What Patey Would Do:
I’d use Content At Scale AI platform to create a post for every low competition dividend stock keywords (of which Ubersuggest says are 259) and initially monetize through display ads:
And then I’d funnel that organic traffic into a new Substack newsletter targeting dividend stocks, and monetize through sponsorship, such as:
